All set for Snett!
The 2017 BTRA British Truck Racing Championship roars back into life with round six of the series taking place at Snetterton circuit in Norfolk on September 9/10.
The fight for championship honours is looking as tight as ever in the fiercely-contested BTRA Division One category; Ryan Smith sits at the top of the tables – with a 31-point advantage over fellow MAN racer David Jenkins. But just 2 points back in third place is now Stuart Oliver; the multiple champion was re-instated as winner of the Pembrey event at a recent appeal. So the Volvo driver is once again a serious contender for the title – along with Shane Brereton (just 3 points down in fourth) – with Mat Summerfield also in contention.
In Division 2 Mika Makinen tops the charts – the Finn holding a 36-point advantage over the chasing pack. But fellow Sisu racer Tony Smith, Simon Cole (Mercedes) and Adam Bint (Volvo White) are closely packed – with just seven points covering 2nd to 4th positions.
The Snetterton 300 circuit always provides a real challenge to the truck racers; the many twists and turns giving the drivers of these heavyweights a real work out!
